The sixth title in the Myst series was not so much a game as an open world to explore and continue developing. Players could locate items that allowed them to customize a private space and link other worlds and shared spaces. But it was the setting I enjoyed most – a deserted and slightly ruined city set in a cavernous space deep underground, complete with lagoon. The dark but colorfully lit spaces combined with an ambient soundtrack to suggest an underground city – one that needs some exploring!
